Submission for the "CMYK series" started by 
Some reference used, heavily inspired by the comic F5 by Tony Daniel. Not really what I had in mind when I started, but it turned out ok in the end.
Requirements:
1. dimension- 1300x1300 pixels
2. colors- CMYK only with grey background, mine is: C: 70% M: 63% Y: 62% K: 59%
3. artistic content- entirely open!
