As always, it's been awhile between updates. A lot has happened, I started a career in photography and have been doing a lot of interior and architectural photography. It's been quite hectic but enjoyable, it's nice to be in charge of one's own time and to be able to work when it suits you. I also went and updated my old D70 to the new D300 and it's a beauty to use, we've had lots of fun together.

Since I'm doing more and more photography these days I'll try to be more frequent in uploading new stuff so stay tuned

Another update after a while of silence. School is going well, we've learned all kinds of cool stuff like developing slidefilm and such. It's nice to be able to shoot a roll of film and develop it yourself right after. Then you just have to pop it in the Coolscan and presto, your done

In other news, I participated in a local photography contest, The Photomaraton, where you have a specific timelimit to shoot 12 different subjects. The subjects are given to you in intervalls and have to be shot in a specific order so you don't have that much time to think about it. Anyways, I won the filmcategory It was a total surprise since I entered the contest a few hours after the rest of the bunch. The pictures can be viewed here:

Now I need to get back to my tasks

It's gone two months since my last entry, I need to start updating this more regularly.

Anyways, lots have happened, the most recent being a vacation spent in the lovely country of Montenegro. A truly beautiful place with kind and friendly people and cheap prices compared to Finland. A week well spent, I could easily have stayed longer if I wouldn't have work to do. I'll be posting some shots in the near future so stay tuned.

Secondly, I'm heading off to school to study photography I got a leave of abscence from work so I don't even have to quit my job, which is great if I realise I don't want a career in photography. I can't wait to spend my days doing nothing but shooting, I've been so busy lately I've had less and less time with my cameras. Well, that's about to change

And finally, I got some new equipment, a Nikon F4e, heavy as hell but a pure dream to use, and a Sigma 24-70 EX2.8 lens, which produces quite lovely images. And I didn't even have to pay that much, 700€ for both, a real bargain. So you might start seeing more film photography from me

Seeing as it is my 3 year anniversary since joining Deviantart, I decided to step in once again after an abscence of over a year. To explain what has happened during the past year would not only fill most of the browserspace but typing it would probably make my fingers bleed so I'm going to skip it entirely. Hope no one minds.

So, what do I find when I login to my account, not only have I had a few thousand page views, thanks for that, but I had over 3000 unread messages. Holy Shit! Most of them were devwatch notifications, but still there where several hundred comments, messages and notes. It seems a lot has happened around here. Having churned through countless of them and replying as good as I can, I finally realised the inevitable. They have to go. So, if you've sent me anything and I havn't replied, I'm sorry, I probably won't be replying. As for the copius amounts of deviations, fat chance I'm browsing through them. It's time to start over and turn a new page in my devart history. Speaking of new starts, I cleaned up my gallery and even submitted a photo. How's that for turning pages.

Well, I guess I've ranted enough. It's nice to be back, I'll try to stick in every now and then. Now, better head over to D70ers to see what's going on
